If you work in an office, you’ve probably griped at one point or another about the conference rooms: balky, unreliable tools for phone and video conferences, poor integration of mobile tools like laptops and tablets, spaces that aren’t flexible enough to deal with groups of varying sizes, etc. Steelcase, which has been in the business of office furniture for more than a century (!), has distilled years of studying how workplaces work into a new product: VIA (Vertical Intelligent Architecture), which in the video below makes an office seem more like something you’d see in Star Trek. And that’s cool with us.
